Membership Registration

Please note that membership registration is only open the second-to-last week of every month (after September). Registration for the month of September 2025 is open until September 8th. Daisy will post on Facebook and in the Signal group chat when these dates are each month. Existing members will have first priority to register a day early, then it will be open to the public. Once a membership is purchased, it is valid for the following month and not eligible for refund.

Membership includes one adult per child if we are at capacity. If it’s important for you to have another adult present, ask Daisy if there is space!

*Caregivers are always present, active with, and responsible for their children the entire gathering. After becoming a member, you will receive a handbook that has a waiver for you to sign confirming that you understand that you are responsible for your children the entire time*

Peer Play Days:

Wednesdays from 10am-12pm

Peer Play Days are the heart of BBHSC. In this intimate setting, children are able to get the best of both worlds. Level One Members are invited to experience the excitement of a classroom full of peers, while having the security of their caregivers there for support when needed. They get the friendships, collaboration, and community spirit of a classroom, while their adults stay closely connected and in control of their personalized curriculum at home.

The events of each Peer Play Day include: “Circle Time,” a group activity led by Daisy, unstructured play time with all of the Peer Play activities, a snack/lunch break, and 30 minutes of play on the gorgeous, brand-new outdoor playground (weather permitting). Our classroom space contains a plethora of preschool appropriate Peer Play Activities to foster social enrichment, including: a large sensory table, Montessori inspired works for two, multi-player games, open-ended crafting supplies, various activities related to our rotating theme, as well as a “Peace Table” for moments when the children want to step away from the group. We aim to have only children of preschool age at the Peer Play Days, but siblings of any age are welcome as Additional Participants (when purchasing membership, you can choose if the Additional Participant wants to be included in the themed/group activities). Adults are always with their child/ren and stay responsible for them the entire time.

Gym Days:

Thursdays from 10am-12pm

Gym days will take place in the beautiful, newly renovated indoor gymnasium at the YWCA. The events of each Gym Day include: A group stretch, a group activity led by Daisy, unstructured play time with the equipment, a snack/lunch break, and 30 minutes of play on the gorgeous, brand-new outdoor playground (weather permitting). Our gym days will be stocked with gross motor equipment and activities for the children to choose from that encourage interaction with peers. In addition to the unstructured play time, we’ll focus our group activities on rotating sports including basketball, soccer, badminton, floor hockey, and more. Siblings of any age are welcome to participate in Gym Days as Additional Participants. Adults are always with their child/ren and stay responsible for them the entire time.

  Field Trips

Field trips will happen periodically throughout the school year. Priority for sign-up is given to Level One Members. If there is still space available, sign-up will then open to Level Two Members. Siblings of any age are welcome to participate in field trips. Price will vary per trip and is not included in the membership cost. Adults are always with their child/ren and stay responsible for them the entire time.

Parties and Seasonal Events

Peer Play Day members will have monthly birthday parties (only if a child has a birthday that month) and secular celebrations for all of the major, age-appropriate holidays. Gym Day members will have three celebrations throughout the school year: Halloween, Winter Holiday, and an End of Year party in June. There will also be events throughout the school year that may have an additional fee including Homeschool Picture Day, Mothers/Fathers Day events, and more. If you have any unique ideas for seasonal events you’d like to see, let us know on the “Contact Us” page or tell Daisy directly!

Membership Features for the Adults

Nurturing Neighbors:

Nurturing Neighbors is a program within BBHSC that offers support for our adults during times of need. Any adult that is a member of BBHSC can submit themselves or another adult member to be “nurtured” by our community. These submissions can be shared anonymously or not, and will give only as much detail as the recipient wants to give. The story will be posted to the “BBHSC Members” Facebook group and in our classroom, anyone who wants to donate can do so by putting cash into the “Nurturing Neighbors” jar along with their name. Anyone who donates will decide together what gift best fits the situation and the donation amount. In the past we have supported people in our community by gifting DoorDash gift cards, spa gift cards, flowers, and more. Contributing to this is not required for membership. This is an extra and optional component to offer support to our families when needed.

Signal Group Chat and Members Facebook Page:

Each membership level has their own Signal group chat so the adults can stay connected between gatherings. All members are invited to be part of the “BBHSC Members” Facebook page as well. These are places to share ideas, swap resources, ask questions, or celebrate wins- whether it’s groundbreaking or just surviving the day. The Facebook Page will feature submissions for Nurturing Neighbors, but these will be posted in the classroom as well. You can choose whether or not you would like to be a part of the group chat at checkout when purchasing your membership, to be in the Facebook page simply request to be in the group and you will be added in ASAP.
